It’s the end of the year and Westport Federal Credit Union has some great things planned for the New Year. But before 2019 ends, let’s recap some important events and accomplishments of the year!

In January, Westport Federal Credit Union sponsored the FUN 107 Wedding Show. We’ll be there again in 2020 so if you’re planning a wedding, stop by our booth this coming January!

During the month of February, Westport Federal Credit Union was nominated for Best of the Best for Bank/Credit Union. We also launched fraud alerts through our online banking app.

In March, our goal was to help ease the heavy financial burden of couples getting married.

During the month of April, we encouraged members to go green by enrolling in e-statements, just in time for Earth Day!

In May, we launched our online account opening. Also, anyone who was approved for an auto loan through us, was given a $25 gas gift card.

Come June, Westport Federal Credit Union launched our online loan application where you can apply 24/7 from the comfort of your own home. WFCU also sponsored a $15,000 hole in one contest along with other prizes at the annual Sgt. Dan Sullivan Memorial Golf Tournament at the Acoaxet club in Westport.

In July, WFCU announced our new mobile deposit service in your TouchBanking app. This allows you to deposit checks into your account through the device’s camera.

In August, it was time to get ready for back to school. We offered loans to help with the cost of attending school.

During September, our goal was to help finance home renovations and additions with our home equity loans.

Come October, Westport Federal Credit Union attended the Health and Wealth Expo at White’s of Westport. WFCU also supported Breast Cancer Awareness month by wearing pink every Friday.

In November, we began our 6th annual holiday food drive for Citizens for Citizens in Fall River.

When December rolled around, we held our 2nd annual Member Appreciation Day with hot cocoa and cookies!

It has been a year full of accomplishments for us as we hope it has been for you too! We look forward to continuing to service you and your financial needs in 2020. Thank you for being a valued member.
