Westport Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the 2013 recipients for its tenth annual scholarship ceremony. This year the Credit Union will present 10 students, in both high school and college, with either the Westport Federal Credit Union Scholarship or the Westport Federal Credit Union – Alfred Lewis Scholarship. The latter is in memory of the late Alfred Lewis, a member of the Board of Directors at WFCU.

This year the Credit Union awarded five local high school seniors each with Alfred Lewis Memorial scholarships. Jacob Friar, WestportHigh School, will be joining the freshman class of SacredHeartUniversity to study Finance. Jaime Rebello, DartmouthHigh School, will be attending the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth to study Psychology. Jenna Rapoza, BishopStangHigh School, plans to study Mathematics at StonehillCollege. Jason Cambra, BristolCountyAgriculturalHigh School, will attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst to pursue a career in Natural Resource. Finally, Morgan Levesque, WestportHigh School, will attend EndicottCollege in the fall to study Nursing.
WFCU also awarded the following five students, currently enrolled in post secondary institutions, with Westport Federal Credit Union scholarship. Kiara Costa currently attends BristolCommunity College and is studying Business Administration. Steven Brodeur is enrolled at BryantUniversity where he is pursuing Finance and Accounting. Nathan Ford attends Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is studying Computer Science.
Thomas Napert attends the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth where he is studying Mechanical Engineering. Lastly, Vanessa Velho is currently studying Massage Therapy at The Salter School.
