Westport Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the 2016 recipients for its thirteenth annual scholarship ceremony. This year, the Credit Union presented six students, graduating high school seniors and current college students, with the Westport Federal Credit Union Scholarship
The Scholarship Committee held a random drawing on March 29 to determine the winners. The drawing was held at the Main Office and all applicants were invited to attend. The six students selected were: Tayla Arruda, a recent UMass Dartmouth graduate will be continuing her studies at Johnson and Wales to receive an MBA in Marketing; Mackensie Brown, from Bishop Connolly, will be attending UMass Dartmouth to pursue a degree in Sociology; Lacey Perry is currently enrolled at Mount Ida College studying Dental Hygiene; Hadyn Correiro is attending Mass College of Art where she is studying Animation; Alec Mauk, from Bishop Stang, will be attending URI to study Ocean Engineering and Marine Biology; Jack Sisson, from Bristol Aggie, will be attending Becker College in the Fall to study Pre-Veterinary Medicine.
Westport Federal Credit Union congratulates the scholarship recipients and wishes them continued success in all their future endeavors.
