Westport Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the 2014 recipients for its eleventh annual scholarship ceremony. This year the Credit Union presented 10 students, in both high school and college, with either the Westport Federal Credit Union Scholarship Alfred Lewis Scholarship. The latter is in memory of the late Alfred Lewis, a member of the Board of Directors at WFCU.
The Credit Union awarded five local high school seniors with Alfred Lewis Memorial scholarships. Angela Farias, Westport High School, will be joining the freshman class of Stonehill College to study History. Jeffrey Napert, Westport High School, will be attending Bristol Community College to being his studies in Architecture. Courtney Williams, Westport High School, plans to study Nutrition Sciences at Framingham State University. Lucas Medeiros, Portsmouth High School, will attend the Nova Southeastern University to pursue an Optometry degree. Finally, Courtney Blais, Bristol Agricultural High School, will attend Bridgewater State University in the fall to study Communications Disorders.
WFCU also awarded the following five students, currently enrolled in post secondary institutions, with Westport Federal Credit Union scholarship. Tanner Fernandes currently attends University of Massachusetts Dartmouth and is studying Marine Biology. Jenna Rapoza is enrolled at Stonehill College where she is pursuing degrees in Mathematics and Elementary Education. Dylan Medeiros attends University of Massachusetts Amherst and is currently studying Pre-Med. Westley Drabble attends the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth where he is studying Nursing. Lastly, Shannen Pavao is pursuing a degree in Marketing at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
