To control banner images on the home page, follow these directions:
1) Create appropriate image of these dimensions: 980px × 400px
a) make sure that the image has appropriate logo/website page over lay – e.g. “Access EZ Banking”
2) In Admin area, select the relevant POST that the banner should be associated with. Remember these POSTS are simply Re-Directs (Using the Page Links To plugin) to direct to the appropriate PAGE on the site.
Example: The Access EZ Banking banner image on the home page banner animation is displayed because that banner is associated with a POST (“EZ Banking” – story category). This EZ Banking post in turn contains an associated image gallery (of 1 image – the banner image).
The images are not added to the content area of the pages or to the posts. They are in fact added to a gallery associated with that particular post and the post is then saved.
The WordPress theme in turn knows to use that banner to represent that POST, which in turn is a re-direct to a page — whew!
